Wine-tasting at the vineyards of Roquebrune up where the rocks are red and the soil is parched. We sipped fresh Rose wines at Domaine de la Bouverie before taking an open buggy ride up into the hills for stunning panoramic views over the landscape in this part of the Var region, then on to an impressive winery at Chateau du Rouet with a pair of white horses in the paddock and donkeys nearby. Lastly, we drove down to the honey-bee farm to try the multi-flavored nectars on offer. We returned with 7 bottles of wine, caramel-flavored honey, honey mustard and a very deep pocket full of memories.
